Shabbat As a Platform for Community Building

The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore and Pearlstone share a vision for a vibrant Baltimore Jewish community today and for future generations.

OneTable connects young adults to each other, to Jewish Shabbat experiences, and to community. The Associated, in partnership with Pearlstone, is excited to bring OneTable to Baltimore!

Slow down, unplug from the week, create intention and build meaningful community

OneTable empowers young adults ages 21-39ish who don’t yet have a consistent Shabbat dinner practice to build one that feels authentic, sustainable, and valuable, with easily accessible tools and resources to make these rituals not only attainable, but sustainable.

How Does it work?

  • APPLY TO HOST through OneTable for a conversation with their Field Team to answer any questions you might have and learn about the steps for hosting.
  • POST YOUR DINNER and explore other resources while you wait for host approval.
  • GET NOURISHED  you’ll qualify for Nourishment Credits valued at $10 per person (up to $100 per dinner) which can be applied to resources like grocery stores, prepared food, decor, and more.
    • NOURISHMENT BY PEARLSTONE offering custom family-style Shabbat menus redeemable for Nourishment credits exclusive for OneTable hosts on certain dates. Meals will be available for pick up at a central location in Baltimore City on the afternoon of your Shabbat dinner.
    • SHABBAT IS EVERY WEEK we encourage you to plan your Shabbat experience when it works best for you, even if it doesn’t align with dates Pearlstone is available as a nourishment option
