Way of the Native: Class Series 2018
Way of the Native Wilderness Survival and Mentoring Class Series
Long ago native peoples all over the world lived in harmony with the earth. The landscape was their supermarket and the natural world around them was their intimate friend. The purpose of this series of classes is to have students learn and practice the hard and soft survival skills that aboriginal people all over the world have practiced for thousands of years.
The Way of the Native Program is designed for educators, parents, naturalists, or anyone interested in significantly expanding their knowledge of ecology, naturalist skills, survival and mentoring skills. This is a fantastic introduction to the basic principles of our hands-on nature-based educational approach.
The classes are two hours each, starting at 5pm and ending at 7pm, with some time to hang out afterward.
In this class you will learn: Edible and medicinal plants, awareness exercises, cordage making, Native mentoring techniques, Indigenous ecology, caretaking, how to survive in thewilderness with nothing, animal behavior, and much more.
