Invite You and Yours to a Jews of Color and Sephardi/Mizrahi (JOCSM) Shabbaton of Rejuvenation and Renewal
May 6 – 8, 2022
This immersive retreat welcomes Jewish People of Color, Sephardic Jews, and Mizrahi Jews to the beautiful Pearlstone campus for a weekend of rest and release as we celebrate spring’s arrival. Come be surrounded by JOC-led Jewish learning, prayer and ritual, spirited singing, embodied – nature-based spiritual experiences, nourishing farm-to-table meals, and an inclusive JOCSM-community-gathering for us and our families and allies.
The magical 180-acre Pearlstone Retreat Center campus will host JOCSM Jews and our families, offering a trans-denominational range of sessions, including prayer, text, embodied practice, storytelling and nature connection. This retreat is designed to nurture participant self-care and build community, while enjoying healthy food and activities for people of all ages, abilities, and Jewish identity. From youth and family programs to affinity space for elders and LGBTQ communities, and our White family members and loved ones, this hybrid in-person and virtual retreat hopes to bring you peace and ease.
This immersive retreat also focuses on creating an environment of loving warmth, connectedness, and Living Torah. As a multigenerational gathering of participants, both local and distant, this is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to experience Pearlstone’s stunning and unique outdoor setting with intentional collective JOCSM communal engagement.
